Vijay is Executive Director & Founder of Fight Cancer Global (FCG), a revolutionary new Global Platform created to address the pain, suffering and isolation endured by the millions of people and their families dealing with cancer. In his role as Executive Director, Vijay coordinates efforts to establish the Five Pillars of FCG (Community, Outreach, Education, Hope and Technology) as a foundation for all current and future efforts in the shared fight against cancer. This fight is a personal one for Vijay. Early days of his childhood presented him with opportunities to fundraise and to serve communities through organizations that help orphans, cure leprosy patients & work with the aged and others within the community who can benefit from assistance. These and other experiences gave him a deep appreciation for simple acts of uniting people to change things for the greater good, and a desire to seek ways to improve the quality of life of those afflicted, but with a vision for global changes. Vijay holds a Master’s Degree in Hazardous Material Management from Jackson State University and enjoys reading, writing, gardening, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Dr. Moe completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of California, Irvine and pursued several years of research before completing his medical degree at Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University in Hungary. For the past 15 years he has been working in the field of medical diagnostics and patient care with a keen pursuit of applying technology to help make patient care more accessible while avidly networking among his fellow physicians and colleagues in the field of medicine. His role with Fight Cancer Global is to lead collaboration at all levels of  global partnerships thus promoting the vision and mission worldwide. Born and raised in California, he also lived and travelled throughout Europe and Asia. His grasp to learn new languages currently stands at four and this has helped him to move and to travel freely making new friends and learning new cultures along the way. Although he did learn to snow ski while in Europe and played squash and cycled regularly, he currently spends most of his free time with his family- playing and teaching his 3 amazing kids new tricks.

Dr. Ramesh Singh Chouhan

Dr. Ramesh Singh Chouhan is an eminent Oncologist, renowned Scientist, and healer. He is the First Senior Vice President and Dean of the World Academy of Medical Sciences, Netherlands and Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Human Rights Commission. He was a Former Dean at the Deccan Institute of Advanced Studies and Professor of Experimental Medicine and Biotechnology at Dr. MGR University, Chennai. His degrees are many- including two Ph.D.’s and a D.Sc. His degrees – medical apart, are many including two Ph.Ds. and a D.Sc. His first PhD was under Nobel Laureate Dr. Douglas Dean. As a student of JIPMER Pondicherry, he started his career as Research Officer & Co-Investigator, conducting studies on the Detection of Ovulation, Early Detection of Cancer Using Bio Electrography.  His research on Electrometry of Cancer, Cell Stimulation through EMR, Cell de-differentiation and guided re-differentiation, Stem cell transformation from adult tissues etch, were all far ahead of his times. He was the First to demonstrate invitro transformation of adult human epithelial cells to neurons and other tissues.  He was the first to introduce the concept, Gene Reprogramming in 1986. Nominee for Young Scientist Award by “The Indian National Science Academy”, 1988. He was mentioned in World’s “Who is Who” in 1991 for contributions to Biotechnology and cancer care. Listed in ‘Who Is Who in Yoga and Biomedical Research’, Listed in ‘Directory of Complementary Medical Researchers’ Moscow. Recipient of the Order of International Fellowship – Cambridge, UK, 20th Century Achievement Award – A B I, USA. He holds three patents worldwide. He has lectured in several universities and congresses worldwide, and spoke at the UNITED NATIONS in Geneva and New York on several occasions- the first when he was 27 years of age. He had completed many research projects for the ICMR (Indian Council for Medical Research) including on cancer, AIDS, to women’s health. He is also working on introducing Terahertz scanning for very early detection and intra-operative screening of cancer as well the introduction of BioArtificial Liver support as an alternative/ maintenance in liver failure patients requiring liver transplants.

Faiq Shaikh, M.D.

He went on to do a fellowship in Molecular Imaging (PET/CT) at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and then in Imaging Informatics at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is pursuing an MBA from University of Massachusetts Amherst in Physician Leadership & Healthcare management. Dr Shaikh's clinical experience is focused on cancer imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT, CT). He has published several articles in Oncology and a book chapter on Biliary MR imaging. He works as a subject matter expert in the field of Radiomics, performing scientific/technical assessment of companies developing innovative imaging tools. He has worked on several projects involving artificial intelligence/machine learning, natural language processing, and quality metrics. Additionally, he works as an Immuno-oncology Imaging advisor in the field of Translational Medicine, designing phase II/III of trials being performed on novel molecular imaging agents.

Greg Cantwell

Greg is a survivor, a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), a primary brain tumor. He was recently recognized as one of the Cure Magazines GBM Heroes. Greg’s mission is to provide support, HOPE, education, current resources and awareness to patients suffering from brain tumors especially Glioblastoma Multiforme (a grade IV primary brain tumor) via phone, email, skype and personal visits. He dedicated his life to making sure that no person diagnosed with a brain tumor has to go through the experience alone and that no family or caregiver goes without support. Since founding Greg’s Mission, he helped over 2000 patients, families and caregivers navigate their brain tumor journey. Additionally, he volunteers at MD Anderson, Cleveland Clinic and The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation as a patient mentor and advocate. He spoke at pharmaceutical companies such as MERCK, EMD Serono, EISAI and Arbor Pharmaceuticals. He also spoke at conferences such as the American Society of Neuroradiology, The International Consortium for Innovation and Quality in Pharmaceutical Development, American Society for Neuroradiology and the University of Iowa Psychosocial Neuro Science Conference. Greg’s Mission has become his life. He believes he survived this devastating diagnosis for a reason, which is to provide the much needed support from someone who can honestly say “I know how you feel. I have been in your shoes.” He has walked down a path of uncertainty and continues to do so with patients who are diagnosed with a GBM, their families and caregivers past, present and future. 

Ron Mashrouteh

Ron is currently serving as Director of Data Conversion at Fidelity Investments.  Prior to that role, Ron served as Director of Infrastructure at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, Director of Global Database Support and Design at Western Union, Lastly, as a VP at JPMorgan Chase for eleven years where he was responsible for multiple departments and their IT functions. Ron enjoys new technologies and innovations.  He presented at Oracle Open World 2011 and has been published in development magazines on multiple subjects such as multi-tier development and version control systems.  He received a professional certification on Data Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University. Deanne is an Executive Director of the American Bankers Insurance Association (ABIA), a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association and the leading trade association for banks. Deanne’s leadership experience includes overseeing federal advocacy efforts, managing a Board of Directors, organizing and executing small and large-scale meetings. Deanne has an MBA from Texas A&M University and lives in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Deanne watched her dad struggle with lung cancer for a year before he succumbed to the disease. It was a terrible surprise that his wouldn't be the story of survival in spite of the odds. Deanne wishes she had more resources, more people to connect with - who knew more, who understood more - when her dad was sick. Her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer that same year. She is passionate to help & educate communities around her for early detection and she is a sounding board when it comes to outreach and awareness to fight against cancer.

Lindsey began her career in international economic development and spent close to 10 years working as a Project Manager in the nonprofit and then heavy industry worlds. She worked for several years in the Middle East on large economic development and heavy infrastructure development projects. She proved to be a skilled project/program management professional and bring deep experience in international business markets, business planning & analytics, project planning and execution, team building, client relations, due diligence, monitoring and high level reporting.  She still retains a deep passion for helping others and Fight Cancer Global has given her the opportunity to combine her nonprofit and corporate career skills to assist in connecting individuals, providers and researchers worldwide to combat this terrible disease. In my spare time, she loves spending time with my husband and son, doing outdoorsy things and traveling the world. 

Srinivas Yellai

Mr. Srinivas, Co-founder & CEO of a privately owned company engaged in pharmaceutical industry, is a graduate in Chemical Engineering & Mathematics from BITS- Pilani, India, He has around 25 years of industry experience and his company has now embarked on a mission of “high Quality, Safe & affordable   medicines and healthcare for the better health and enhanced lives of people across all boundaries”.  While Oncology is a segment of special interest to his company and they are dedicated to making chemotherapy more affordable and accessible,  Srinivas himself believes  that awareness- aided Healthy living & Prevention  are no less  important than Diagnosis and Treatment, in fighting cancer. He hopes the Fight Cancer Global endeavour would enable the  empowerment  of people across all sections of world society. He enjoys reading good   books, watching movies, spending time with family and treats life as a journey of learning experiences.

Amy Lassen

Amy brings over 15 years’ of experience in business development and marketing. She realized that one of her true passions is helping others whether it's in her local community or across the globe.  Over the years, Amy has been involved with organizations dedicated to finding a cure for cancer and ran in both the Hawaii and Alaska marathons. She is also a member of the local chapter of Rotary International and currently holds the position of Sergeant at Arms.  In her spare time, Amy enjoys sailing, running, traveling and spending time with her family. 

Linda Ryan

Linda Ryan is a three-time cancer survivor, mother, and co-founder of a 501c3 charity that helps others battling cancer.  As a speaker Linda has become a resource for others throughout the country by her willingness to share open and candid details of her struggles and refusal to let cancer control her life.  Linda has been a source of hope for many women diagnosed with recurrent cervical cancer.  She regularly communicates with women who reach out to her after their recurrence who are looking for strength and hope knowing that there are survivors of the disease that sadly, so many die from.  Linda has a passion for using her voice to increase the impact of the HPV vaccine by sharing her diagnosis and grueling treatment that could have been prevented had the vaccine been available when she was a teen.  When diagnosed, Linda knew that her fitness level would play a significant role in her journey.   She had just run her first marathon and continued to be active through eight rounds of chemotherapy.  She ran two half marathons during treatment.  Her speaking and nonprofit have given her a platform to give back to her community and be a resource to others fighting their own battles.  She enjoys exercise, the beach, laughing with her friends, and most importantly being a mom to her two boys, Matthew and Ethan.

 

Demetrios Sapounas

He has over 18 years of experience in direct selling, managing and developing high-performance teams in working with the Ministry of Health to facilitate new product introductions. He developed, supervised and managed all operations for multiple product lines, and formulated marketing plans. He successfully opened new markets in Western Provinces in both private and Ministry of Health sectors. He orchestrated and coordinated activities with the medical and marketing departments.
